At Compass, we strive to obey our Lord's mandate in Acts 1:8 ("You shall be my witnesses") by supporting overseas and local missions financially and with our prayers, embarking on short-term mission trips, and serving those in need. Over the years, we have been blessed to send short-term mission teams to eight different countries, with a present focus in Thailand and Honduras.
In the closing days of 2014, we began the initial steps of planting a missions chapel, as we ordained, commissioned and sent a missionary family to live, learn, and serve in Bangkok, Thailand. During recent missions trips, we have collaborated with local missionaries and Christian organizations in reaching out to university students, many who have never heard the Gospel. With God's leading, we launched an inaugural service in late 2016 (For more information about our Bangkok Chapel, please contact Pastor Johnny).
Compass has also participated in medical and dental missions in Honduras, most recently in the remote eastern region of Gracias A Dios. Other experiences have included home evangelism visits, children's ministry, and other training opportunities to strengthen and encourage local churches and leaders.
At home in New York, we also try to reach our immediate community, actively supporting and partnering with other churches and local Christian organizations in compassion ministries, food distribution, clothing drives, and other volunteer opportunities. As we pray for God's direction to guide our mission endeavors, we look forward to how He will use us to take His Word to the ends of the Earth.
