Compass Fellowship Church

Missions

In Acts 1, Jesus called his disciples to be "witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth," in order to fulfill His Great Commission to "go and make disciples of all nations." At Compass, we strive to obey our Lord in this way by supporting overseas and local missions financially and with our prayers, embarking on short-term mission trips, and serving those in need in our NYC community. We support missionaries in Honduras, Japan and Thailand.

Last summer during our trips to Japan and Thailand, our missionaries collaborated with local missionaries in reaching out to university students, many who have never heard of the Gospel. In the past year, we also participated in two medical mission trips to Honduras where brothers and sisters used their medical, dental, and administrative training to heal not only physically, but also to help many find true healing and peace through the Gospel of Jesus.

At home, we also try to reach out to our immediate community through compassion ministries, helping out in soup kitchens, raising money and distributing warm gloves and socks to those who need them, and other volunteering opportunities. As we pray for God's direction to guide our mission ministries, we look forward to how He will use us to take His Word to the ends of the world.
